The Logic of Relevancy

The search engine optimization business is all about helping a websites appear higher in the search engine rankings. There are many factors that contribute to rankings but when it comes down to the very competitive terms or unique phrases, copy and how it's organized on a webpage is a strong determining factor. A lot of search engine optimization companies try to simplify the equation into something called Keyword Density, which is essentially the ratio between a specific keyword or phrase and the word count of the page. This article does a great job at explaining the logic a search engine might use to determine the meaning and relevancy of a particular webpage.
